AG47

dialogue with treehouse artists

Who are you and what made you that?

I am AG47 the author and independent artist. What has made me the person I am today was being raised in a single-mother home and being diversified through travel, sports, and music. Throughout my life, I have lived in four states altogether, which has required me to adapt and keep a positive mindset.

What have you been working on recently?

Recently, I have been working on staying productive with my music while balancing a corporate job. I spend hours creating my music, then marketing the music, and strategizing different ways to expand my brand. I also work forty hours a week full time for an insurance company.

Why do you make art?

I make art because it allows me to express my emotions through poetry and elevating my consciousness. It also allows me to be creative with my words and introduces me to a ton of other creative individuals.

What role do you think art has in society?

Art plays a dominant role as an influencer and connector in our society. Art is what separates the uniqueness of one human being from another.

How has the pandemic affected your life as an artist (good/bad)?

The pandemic has affected my life as an artist in both some good ways and bad ways. The good is by allowing me to be home more and having fewer distractions from being creative. The bad way it has impacted my artistry is by taking away the opportunity to gain fans through performances and being able to open up for bigger artists.

Where do you want attention focused? What would prove change in this world?

I want attention focused on the grind of being an independent artist and how hard you have to work to solidify a loyal fan base. I also want people to focus on equality, and treating themselves with kindness and respect. I believe there would be a change in this world if people began to explore their minds and developed a divine purpose for their life.

What advice would you give others during this time?

My greatest advice I would give others during this time is to find a constructive way to learn a skill that pays. This could be video editing, songwriting, digital marketing, stock/foreign currency trading, or just pretty much anything that can use technology to make money. Stay inspired and check out different audiobooks and podcasts that can share new information with you.
