Musical Theater for Kids

My name is Alexandra Duparc. After spending over 20 years as a professional musician, touring in bands, scoring films, and performing on stages of all kinds, I found my way into writing. I am now a screenwriter. I have also become a mother.

Throughout all of this, one passion has remained constant. Sharing the magic of music, rhythm, and storytelling with children.

My son has been begging to “be on stage,” and when I started looking for programs for children ages 3 to 5, I realized there was very little available. Instead of waiting for something to exist, I decided to create it myself.

I am incredibly excited to offer this class and see what blossoms from it.

Musical Theater for Little Performers (Ages 3–5)

This joyful 10-week class introduces young children to musical theater through play, movement, and song. Each week, students build confidence using fun voice games, expressive movement, and simple performance drills designed for early learners.

Children will learn to sing, take turns, use their bodies with intention, and express emotions through voice and face. Together, the class will gradually learn and perform the song “I Love the Mountains,” with every child having a role suited to their age and comfort level.

For children who are still developing focus or verbal skills, the class includes plenty of physical and imaginative activities so everyone can participate successfully.

The session ends with a short, low-pressure performance for parents that celebrates confidence, creativity, and teamwork rather than perfection.

No prior experience required. Just curiosity, energy, and a love of pretending.
